Cookbook Recipes Needed Our next fund raising event is to be a Coronation School recipe book, which we are now asking for you to submit your family/favourite/kids favourite recipes to be entries in the recipe book.

Homework Club has Started A Coronation Homework Club has started.  It takes place in the Resource Centre/Library each morning at 8:20 to 9:00 a.m.

Music Notes

musicnotes_WinCEOur Talent Show will be held Thursday, April 26th in the gym and the Band Concert will be held Thursday, May 24th.  The grade 7 and 8 bands will be going to Canada's Wonderland on Thursday, May 31st.

   

Grade 8s - Baby Photos Needed

healthy-baby-every-dayWe are looking for baby photos for each of our Grade 8 students.  They will be displayed at our Graduation ceremony as the students enter!  Please email them to your student's teacher or send them in on a USB stick.  Please send them in as soon as possible.
   

EQAO

pencilsThe EQAO Provincial assessment for students in grades 3 and 6 will take place on the following dates:
Grade 3 EQAO is June 4, 5 and 6
Grade 6 EQAO is May 28, 29, 30 and 31.

We ask parents to ensure their children have healthy breakfasts and are well-rested during this assessment. The teachers have been doing their part in working with the children and we feel they are ready to participate in this annual assessment. If you have any concerns regarding the EQAO assessment, please contact your child's teacher, the SERTs; Mr. Smart or Mrs. Fitzgerald, Ms. Wanninkhof, the Vice Principal or Mr. Mosher.

   

Out of Area Form - Spring 2012

OutOfAreaIf your home school is not Coronation Public School, it is important that you fill out a "Permission to Enrol Out of Area Form" this spring. These forms are available in the office. Please drop by to pick one up or contact the school office. Returning to Coronation Public School in September 2012 is not guaranteed for children "out of area." Registration is conditional on availability of space and completion of the "Permission to Enrol Out of Area Form."
   

Dance-a-Thon

danceThe Coronation School Community Council held its Dance-a-Thon on April 5th, 2012.  Approximately $8000 was raised!  Thank you to the parents who volunteered, the Lysyk family from Store It Oshawa for donating prizes, and Mr. Petrarca for acting as our D.J.!  The music department will be able to replace many of our older instruments.  Mrs. Cain is thrilled!
